  • To cancel, follow the link in your appointment reminder text or contact us at (518) 977-3100. Please note that appointments canceled or rescheduled within 24 hours of the scheduled service time will incur a 50% charge of the total service cost.

  • Before every service, the kontråst team will conduct a thorough consultation. This is to ensure your comfort and understanding of the booked service, as well as to personalize your treatment according to your needs. During your massage, feel free to dress or undress to your level of comfort. For kontråst therapy, please wear an appropriate swimsuit.

  • For clients who book a kontråst therapy session, a shower is available in your therapy room. Shampoo, body wash, conditioner, and towels are provided for your use. Please note these amenities are not available for clients of other services, including massage, or yoga.

  • kontråst therapy is an invigorating dance of temperature contrasts as your body harmonizes the benefits of combined hot and cold exposure therapies. When you book a kontråst therapy session you will have access to our hot sauna and cold plunge throughout the duration of your service. Learn more about kontråst therapy.

  • If you have a heart condition, severe neuropathy, or respiratory conditions, or are an individual who is pregnant you should not use kontråst therapy. Clients who are elderly, hypersensitive to extreme temperatures, or have Raynaud’s (chronic cold hands and feet) should proceed with caution before deciding to use kontråst therapy.

  • To find balance between the results from your workout and your cold plunge, we suggest completing your kontråst therapy prior to your workout as studies have shown cold plunging within 4-6 after resistance training can block hypertrophy (the growth of muscle cells, resulting in an increase in muscle size and strength).

  • Just like our massage services are personalized for each person, whether or not you should work out after your massage varies by individual. We suggest taking a rest day after your massage appointment to allow your body time to fully relax and take in the benefits of your massage service. But, you know your body best. If you do work out, consider a lighter workout than typical.

  • Massage is only contraindicated (not advised as a course of treatment) during the first trimester. During your second and third trimester, massage appointments can offer many benefits. Learn more about kontråst’s specialized pregnancy massage services.

  • We are located in Suite 102 on the first floor of the Loudon Plaza. The plaza is an ‘L’ shape, with the office suites entrance in the center corner. Enter here and continue straight into the right-side hallway. Take the first hallway on the right, and you will see signs for kontråst.
